Ash Wednesday

All are invited to begin their Lent with renewed fervor by joining Fr. Groeschel for a Charity Supper of soup, bread and water in a spirit of repentance and in solidarity with those less fortunate. Fr. Benedict’s thoughts at the Supper will surely prove both inspirational and encouraging! One hundred percent of the proceeds from this penitential Lenten gathering will go to the Padre Pio Shelter for the Homeless. Please be generous!

Saturday, February 16 th
Lenten Day of Spiritual Renewal
with Michael Cumbie
Michael’s abilities with an audience will captivate you. The sincerity, wit, and skill with which he delivers his story of personal conversion and message of pursuing a life of faith-filled surrender to the Lord will surely rouse your heart. Michael comes to St. Francis Center directly from his home base of Alabama, where he is president of the Micah Project, which focuses on appreciation of our Catholic faith, and most especially, the Eucharist.
The day begins at 9:00 a.m. with a light breakfast. Following an opening prayer, there will be three conferences, opportunity for confession, time for quiet prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, and a guided meditation. Lunch is included. The day ends with the option to attend the 4 p.m. Vigil Mass for Sunday.
The cost for the day is $30.00

St. Francis Tree of Life Mass of Remembrance
The leaves of the beautiful memorial tree and the stones at its base are the special places where remembrances of loved ones both living and deceased, as well as expressions of gratitude for graces received are inscribed and preserved. The Franciscan Friars and the Tree of Life Committee invite you to attend our annual Mass during which those inscribed this past year will be particularly remembered, and to enjoy light refreshments afterwards.

Serving God as a Single Person
A contemporary spirituality circle for men and women, ages 30-49, who are single or single again, and who wish to lead more empowered, fulfilled lives by deepening their Catholic Christian spirituality. SGSP was formed in 2001 to acknowledge the challenge of living singly in today’s world, by offering topics and events that address the following five values: the spiritual, intellectual, practical, social and charitable.
